Apply to be a Head or Assistant Coach for one of our youth sports leagues/programs: Upward Volleyball, Upward Baseball, Upward Softball, Upward Soccer, Upward Flag Football, Crossover Flag Football, Crossover Basketball, Upward Basketball, and/or Shine Sports (special needs). You can review your sport of interest at johnsonferry.org/sportsandfitness.
All Head Coaches must attend a mandatory coaches meeting. Assistant Coaches are asked to attend as well. The league/program administrator will contact coaches with dates and times.
Safe Harbor Application
All coaches (head and assistant) are required to have an active Safe Harbor Application on file. To fill out the application, click on "MY JF" at johnsonferry.org and login to your account. Once logged in, you will scroll down until you see "Safe Harbor" on the right. You will need three references to complete the application. Once the application is submitted, you will also be sent an email with a link to the background check information. Approved applications last for three years before needing reapproval.
Please note:
Coaches may not request specific players other than their children to be placed on their team unless it is specifically for a ministry opportunity.
